Grand Prix Rider Pablo Barrios

Wellington, FL (May 17, 2010) - Choice of Champions International, a company that specializes in producing supplements designed to aid sport horses, is pleased to announce they are sponsoring Pablo Barrios, a Venezuelan Grand Prix rider who competed in the Beijing Olympics. Barrios has had a stellar 2010, dominated the winner’s circle during the Winter Equestrian Festival.

Barrios rides out of G & C Farm in Wellington, owned by Gustavo and Carolina Mirabal, and became almost unstoppable during WEF. Barrios won the $150,000 Spy Coast Farm World Cup Qualifier Grand Prix with G&C Lagran, the $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round Four on G&C Quick Star and the $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round Six on G&C Blanchee Z.

Barrios also continued his winning ways in Tampa, winning the $30,000 Grand Prix of Florida at the Tampa Equestrian Festival on G&C Quick Star. “Pablo is having a brilliant season and we are very happy to be sponsoring him,” said Allyn Maix, President of Choice of Champions. “Pablo is a great guy, a great competitor and a gentleman. He has really put together a fabulous collection of horses and we are glad to have him on board.”

Maix added that Barrios starts his horses on the Choice of Champions supplements as soon as they reach the quarantine barn when they are shipped into the country. “Pablo believes in preventative maintenance,” she said.

Used in a daily feeding program, Ulser Shield can prevent severe cases of ulcers that would require Omeprazole. Ulser Shield is a much cheaper way to maintain a horse than using Omeprazole.”
